Lancelotta Consulting is an active research and consulting partner. We help our clients define and refine their project objectives. And, we actively work to incorporate research findings and insights into the development of business and promotional strategies. We do not just “show up” to conduct interviews and send reports of findings. We are invested and engaged members of our clients’ teams.

Company founder Kevin Lancelotta earned his PhD in clinical psychology. He completed his clinical residency and fellowship at Rush Presbyterian in Chicago. He also worked as a professional improvisational comedian and trained at Chicago’s Second City Conservatory program. A deep understanding of human behavior and emotions as well as the spontaneity inherent to improvisational comedy is built into the design and implementation of our work.

Creativity and flexibility are hallmarks of our approach to projects. We recognize that our clients’ project needs change, often after a project has already started. It could be a new idea or insight, an adjustment in scope, a shift in project focus or a sudden change in the marketplace. Whatever happens, we are nimble and can quickly develop creative solutions to meet our clients’ needs.

As qualitative researchers, we translate business problems and questions into research hypotheses and questions that are testable and answerable. Interviews provide the data we need to generate actionable insights and solutions for our clients. When preparing for a project, we take great care to fully understand our clients’ objectives. We do not use off-the-shelf research techniques. Rather, we carefully design an interview approach and employ tactics tailored to each project’s specific objectives. We then conduct our interviews in way that quickly establishes rapport and credibility with health care provider and patient audiences. Our disarming and engaging approach to interviews encourages interviewees to be forthcoming and candid. The end result is insightful feedback and ideas our clients can use in their brand planning.
